My Bucketlist

I have been told many times, that I was too young to have a bucketlist? So, what age is the appropriate age to have a bucketlist? Me, Myself, and I have had one since I was 10!!

I have always been the adventurist!! Im not scared of heights, Im not scared of the dark, and Im not scared to try anything. I don't really keep my list updated, but somethings never change.
When I was young of course being married and having kids were first. Although I don't have kids of my own I have 3 step children.

Second, I dreamed of traveling anywhere and everywhere! My step father does retail construction and he travels. So I packed my bags and joined his crew (so to speak) and have seen many places. Such places as Las Vegas, Cape Canaveral Florida, The mall of America in Minnesota, The Grand Canyons, and Denver Colorada (my favorites).

Third, I always wanted to skydive. I haven't done this yet, mainly because I don't have anyone to go with me, but it's definetaly on my list. The highest in the air that  I have gotten other than a plane ride, was a ride on top of the Stratesphere in Las Vegas. The Stratosphere is a 115 story observation tower. On top of that is 3 rides. The one I rode shot another 15 feet into the air. It was insane.

Im sure that everyone has a bucketlist of some kind, this is just the beginning of mine!

If I won the lottery, I would...

Have you ever played the lottery? Ever thought about winning? I was born in Dallas, Texas, a state that very much believes in the state lottery. We don't have casinos but we definitely have the lottery.
When I was a kid I use to go play bingo with my mother and grandmother. My grandmother always payed for my cards so if I won anything I always split it with her. Then as I got older "THE LOTTERY," came to my attention. My mother always bought, what seemed like alot of money in scratch off tickets. I loved when she brought them home because I loved to scratch them. Here's were my love for the lottery began. When they came out with the quick pick, my grandfather won 2 times back to back with 3 out of 5 numbers. This is when I began asking the question, "What would I do if I won the lottery".
If I won the lottery, the first thing I would do is keep quiet about it. The last thing I need is the past becoming my future asking for help for what ever lie they could imagine. The second thing I would do is buy an average size house on several acres of  land. This land would need lots of trees set off the road about a mile for privacy. My house would have a fishing pond near the road for my husband and son. It would also have a pool made to look like a pond in the back for me. This is the only selfish part of the dream!!
A swimming pool made to look like a pond!Lazy River in the backyard?Inner tubing tour through the canals and tunnels of an old sugar plantation in Hawaii - add this to my bucket list!
I myself, am dyslexic! I had a very difficult time with this in elementary. With great teachers I have learned to overcome the obstacle and work with it. For example I am a full time college student, who takes all her classes online. Meaning I teach myself everything I learn. Not only am I dyslexic, I have a younger sister (Shawna) who is also dyslexic, and a younger sister (Bella) who has downs syndrome. With these learning disabilities in my family, I have become interested in kids with special needs. I have learned that more and more children are born with learning disabilities and there are less and less special needs teachers to help them learn how to overcome the disability.
If I won the lottery I would build a special needs school that was open to any special needs child regardless off the parents income. I would hire teachers who are kind, patient, and determined like mine were. My sister Shawna had my teacher as she grew up, but Bella has someone completely different. Her teacher teaches her both English and Spanish and has amazing teaching techniques.
Last I would what I call a second chance home for orphans and the homeless. The kids would be apart of something grand. I would treat them all like my own, giving them the best that I could. School, doctors, and dentist. For the homeless adults, they would be provided with on site jobs to begin with such as cook, housekeeper, gardener, etc. After they stay awhile they would be provided with a caseworker to help obtain job interviews and locate affordable housing and maybe even affordable transportation.
I know my dream would costs millions and millions, but if I won the lottery it would get everything set in motion for me, then I could recruit sponsors and investors to make this dream a reality!!!
